Lymphoma
The form of cancer that starts in the lymphatic system of the body is known as Lymphoma.
There are two types of lymphoma
- Hodgkin lymphoma- common in the 20-40 and late 60 age groups
- Non-Hodgkin lymphoma- common in the 60-80 age groups
Both types are more frequent in men than women.

Chemotherapy – Drugs are used to kill cancer cells in the blood and bone marrow.
Radiation – Leukemia cells are killed or their growth is prevented by high-beam X-rays.
Biologic therapy – Cancer cells are attacked by the immune system and this biological therapy or immunotherapy helps the immune system find foreign cells.
Targeted therapy – There are specific genes or proteins that cancer cells need to grow and these genes are blocked with the help of drugs.
Stem cell transplant – New stem cells are inserted in the blood to replace the damaged cells.
