Kidney Transplant

- New kidney may start working immediately or it may take several days.
- On average transplanted kidney lasts up to 10-15 years.
Management
- Avoid lifting heavy things
- Avoid driving for at least six weeks
- Light exercises
- Avoid sports
- Stay hydrated
- Avoid raw or undercooked foods
- Have a protein-rich diet
